There will be a vacancy on the Plain City Village Council effective September 30, 2020. Pursuant to the Ohio Revised Code, Village Council is provided authority to fill the vacancy by appointing a qualified elector of the Village. To be eligible for consideration, applicants must have resided in the Village for at least one year and be a registered voter. The Village will be conducting the annual flushing of all fire hydrants Sept. 21 - 23rd.
Please note: you may experience low pressure
or discolored, rusty water while hydrants are flushed
in your neighborhood.

Friday October 2 is the last day for Village brush pickup. After October 2nd you may take your brush to Kurtz Bros. for disposal. For details on brush disposal at Kurtz Bros, click here.
Delay in Utility Bills
The Village recently experienced technical issues with its automated meter reading technology provider. This issue has since been resolved and monthly bills have now been processed for delivery to customers.
The due date for payment has been extended until September 22, 2020
Please note that next month’s bills should be sent out, with payments due on the normal schedule.
NEW App Release for Village of Plain City!
The Village of Plain City is pleased to announce the release of a FREE mobile App that will provide the community with the most accurate and timely information concerning the Village and issues around the Village.
The app is FREE to download through your app store- simply search for: Village of Plain City.
One valuable feature is Push Notifications. Users can enable or disable notifications individually.
The Village will use this feature for alerts and announcements.
As the Village strives to improve customer service, we believe that this app will assist residents with access to pertinent information and help increase ease of communication.
All permits, except building permits, are handled by the Village Zoning Department.
This includes fence, porch, pool and other permits.

Village Council Meetings
All Village Council meetings are held on the second and fourth Mondays of each month
and are open to the public.
Due to COVID-19, all Village meetings, except Charter Commission, are held via Zoom.
