The Village of Plain City’s waste hauler is Local Waste Services. Residents are required to have their trash at the curb by 7:00 AM every Thursday morning for collection. Local Waste begins collection promptly at 7:00 AM.

Reasonably-sized items will be collected by Local Waste even if the material cannot fit into a bin. Before collection, please contact Local Waste to confirm pickup availability. Trash Collection - Holidays
In the Village of Plain City, trash collection occurs every Thursday, with the exception of select major holidays (see below). If one of the holidays falls through the work week, service will be delayed by one day. If the holiday falls on a weekend, there will be no change in the scheduled collection day.

Weekly curbside collection of recyclables separate from refuse and yard waste collection will be provided. All recyclables may be combined in your recycling bin for collection. Recycling bins can be picked up at the Municipal Building between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Please call 614-873-3527 to confirm the availability of bins.
