Pastime Park lights up for the holidays beginning Thanksgiving weekend. This drive-through display features thousands of lights and holiday characters! It's fun for all ages! NEW in 2023: the lights are synced to holiday music!  Just tune to 89.5 FM radio to enjoy the syncronized sights and sounds!

Picture this: the Christmas Tree all lit up with the help of the Christmas Pixies, Santa making a grand entrance, the Starlight Twirlers adding some twinkle, cozy carriage rides, food vendors, and holiday music in the crisp air — it's going to be a blast! Christmas Under the Clock is about creating new memories while remembering the past, so bring the whole gang. Plus, don't forget to visit businesses for special deals and discounts. Let's spread some holiday cheer!

Santa Parade

7:00 PM (Following Tree Lighting)

Starting right after the Christmas Tree Lighting, Santa and his friends will embark on a merry journey through town, winding through various neighborhoods. A map of the parade route will be posted closer to the event. When you hear the joyful Christmas music approaching your neighborhood, step outside to wave at Santa as he passes by. Santa loves to see the friendly faces of Plain City, and to spread extra holiday cheer, he'll be tossing candy from the wagon. Don't miss the chance to be a part of the celebration – Santa Claus is coming to town, and the parade is the perfect way to welcome him!

Holiday Coloring Contest

Every year, Santa and his merry helpers, the Christmas Pixies, illuminate Plain City’s magnificent Christmas Tree during Christmas Under the Clock. Winners of the annual coloring contest in each age group (under 5, 6-8, 9-10) have the incredible opportunity to serve as Christmas Pixies! Children must submit their masterpieces by 4:00 PM on Thursday, November 16. Entry forms are conveniently available online, in the Municipal Building lobby, and at the Plain City Public Library. Entries can be dropped off in person at the Municipal Building using the night deposit drop box, or mailed to the Village of Plain City, c/o Coloring Contest, 800 Village Blvd., Plain City, Ohio 43064. Winners will be notified on November 17 and must be ready to join Santa for the tree lighting on December 2.

The holidays are here and it's time for children to send their letters to Santa Claus! In the heart of Bicentennial Park, keep an eye out for our special mailbox just for Santa's mail. Every child who drops off a letter will receive a magical response directly from the North Pole! No postage is required.

Holiday Decorating Contest: Let's Light up the night!
Entries due by Friday, December 8

Once again this holiday season, residents and businesses within the Village of Plain City are invited to decorate their properties for a chance to win CASH prizes!

Entries are due by December 8 and decorations must be in place by then. Prizes will be awarded in separate home and business categories:  $150, first place; $100, second place; and $50, third place. Judging will take place the week of December 11. Winners will be announced December 15.

Holiday Lights Recycling Program

Do you have any old or unwanted holiday lights? Are you planning to make the switch to LED lights? Bring your old strands of holiday lights to the Municipal Building, 800 Village Blvd., from November 27 through January 7 for FREE recycling! Look for the specially-marked recycling bins, available 24/7. Please do not place holiday lights in plastic bags, boxes, or other containers.

Carly's 3rd Annual Sock Drive

Donations Accepted at Plain City Lanes, Hair Loft 120, and Main Street Nails

In memory of Carly Fleming, whose life was tragically cut short in a car accident on Christmas Eve 2020, her family is upholding her legacy of compassion by collecting socks to provide to homeless individuals. The goal is to share the warmth of the holiday season with individuals experiencing homelessness and carry forward Carly's spirit of generosity. Residents can donate new socks of any size, and these contributions will be delivered to The Open Shelter, extending a helping hand to those in need.

Santa for Seniors is back to spread holiday cheer! Donations are being accepted for gift baskets to bring joy to local senior citizens. Suggested items include body lotion, tissues, hand soap, non-slip fuzzy socks, blank note cards, individually-wrapped candies, and chapstick.
