Seasonal - Parks and Recreation

Pay starts at $12.64 and increases depending on experience and qualifications

Under the general supervision of the Parks & Recreation Director and Pool Manager, the Assistant Pool Manager is responsible for assisting with the management of the Aquatic Center (pool); monitors lifeguards and the activities in swimming areas to prevent accidents; inspects facilities for cleanliness; ensures pools are running efficiently and safe.

Hiring for all employees is contingent on successful passage of a drug test. For those 18 yrs+, a background check is also required.

Seasonal - Parks and Recreation

Pay starts at $10.08 and increases depending on experience and qualifications

Under the general supervision of the Parks & Recreation Director and Pool Manager, the Lifeguard monitors activities in swimming areas to prevent accidents and provide assistance to swimmers; cautions swimmers regarding unsafe areas; rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers first aid and calls for emergency medical assistance; maintains order in swimming areas; inspects facilities for cleanliness; may give swimming instructions.

Pay starts at $9.00 and increases depending on experience and qualifications

Under the general supervision of the Parks & Recreation Director and Pool Manager, the Front Office Clerk communicates with patrons and provides friendly customer service; handles money; sells daily passes, performs daily cleaning functions; performs other front office functions in order to ensure efficient operations of the Aquatic Center.

Hiring for all employees is contingent on successful passage of a drug test. For those 18 yrs+, a background check is also required.

Pay starts at $9.00 and increases depending on experience and qualifications

Under the general supervision of the Parks & Recreation Director and Pool Manager, the Concessions Worker communicates with patrons and provides friendly customer service; handles money; prepares food in a safe and sanitary manner, performs daily cleaning functions; performs other concessions functions in order to ensure efficient operations.

Hiring for all employees is contingent on successful passage of a drug test. For those 18 yrs+, a background check is also required.

Design Review Board

Terms of Office: 3-year term

Meeting Frequency: Meets as needed, 3rd Wednesday (minimum of 4 times/year) at 6:30 p.m. Description: This Board serves in restoring and revitalizing the Uptown District of the Village. Members of this Board will review applicant projects and plans, holding them to the guidelines developed through the Design Review Board. The goal is to help guide applicants and encourage investment within the community.

Capital Improvement Plan 

Terms of Office: None

Meeting Frequency: Meets as needed

Description: Reviews the annual capital improvement plan and budget of the Village prior to submission of the Mayor’s proposed annual budget to Council. The committee provides advice to Village Administration and Council on current and future capital improvement plans and priorities.
