NEW Playground Equipment at Pastime Park!

Starting Jan. 2, 2020, construction began on installing new playground equipment at the North entrance to Pastime Park.  The Village is blending the old with the new and saving the popular Dinosaur and other rocking animals, along with the climbing cage, digger and teeter totter.  The old swing will be salvaged and placed at the other play area near the sand volleyball courts behind the pool.

Below is a mock up of the new playground equipment.   We are excited to begin improving our playground as the new playground equipment provides play areas and activities that will be fun, stimulating  and enriching for ages 2-12.  Please use caution when yellow tape indicates construction activity, and we thank you for your patience as we work to improve our recreation areas in the Village!

Pastime Park

There are 2 parks in Plain City: Pastime Park and McKitrick Park.  Pastime Park  is a popular destination throughout the year.  Nestled among beautiful oak trees (many  over 200 years old), Pastime Park provides a very peaceful and tranquil setting, drawing visitors from all over the United States.

The park offers a 60 site campground, a 1/2 mile walking trail, a professional disc golf course,  4 sand volleyball courts, a basketball court, aquatic center and several rentable facilities.

McKitrick Park

McKitrick Park is a beautiful 5.18 acre park, located along the Big Darby, on East Main Street, just east of Uptown Plain City.  There is parking and public access for fishing or kayaking/canoeing.  McKitrick is a great place to spend time enjoying a picnic, fishing, or just relaxing in the beauty of its natural surroundings.  For more information on McKitrick Park, Click HERE.

Lithko Contracting!

The Village of Plain City is excited to announce that we now have ADA compliant sidewalks around the Campground bathrooms, thanks to a generous donation of the materials and labor from Lithko Contracting, LLC!
Each year, Lithko chooses a community to be the recipient for a capstone project, completed by skilled craftsman and summer interns. The project was designed and completed by Lithko at absolutely no cost to the Village! A huge thanks to Lithko for donating such a needed amenity to our community!
