Parks & Recreation Master Plan

In preparation for improvement and future growth in the community, the Village commissioned a professional study to map out current facilities/recreational opportunities, and to create a roapmap for the future.

If you haven't been to Pastime Park, you're missing both a walk into the past of old fashioned baseball fields and fairgrounds, and a jump into a modern camping facility and aquatic center.

    Plain City Parks

Pastime Park

There are 2 parks in Plain City: Pastime Park and McKitrick Park.  Pastime Park  is a popular destination throughout the year.  Nestled among beautiful oak trees (many  over 200 years old), Pastime Park provides a very peaceful and tranquil setting, drawing visitors from all over the United States.

The park offers a 60 site campground, a 1/2 mile walking trail, a professional disc golf course,  4 sand volleyball courts, a basketball court, aquatic center and several rentable facilities.

McKitrick Park

McKitrick Park is a beautiful 5.18 acre park, located along the Big Darby, on East Main Street, just east of Uptown Plain City.  There is parking and public access for fishing or kayaking/canoeing.  McKitrick is a great place to spend time enjoying a picnic, fishing, or just relaxing in the beauty of its natural surroundings.  For more information on McKitrick Park, Click HERE.
