The Village of Plain City, Ohio is seeking a skilled, experienced administrative professional to serve in the part-time position of Clerk of Council. This position reports directly to the Fiscal Officer and is responsible for the efficient operation of the fiscal office, including assembling legislative material and preparation of agendas for council meetings, transcribing minutes from council meetings and maintaining official records. May also be required to provide administrative support to other boards and commissions. Is also the focal point for public records requests. Must be a self-starter and able to work independently, work with village department heads, and employ effective citizen-focused skills in communicating with citizens and business leaders. Some evening hours are required in support of evening meetings. Preferred candidate should have at least one year experience in corporate or public sector office procedures and record keeping. Must have strong typing skills.
