Weekly curbside collection of recyclables separate from refuse and yard waste collection will be provided. You do not need to sort your recyclable materials. They are collected in a seperate recycling truck and sorted at their plant. Recycling bins are available at the Water Office for new residents. Additional bins may be purchased for $5.00 each at the Water Office.
The following items will be acceptable materials in the curbside recycling program:
- Magazines: Time, Newsweek, Sports Illustrated, Redbook, etc. are all accepted.
- Corrugated Cardboard: Fluted cardboard used in packing boxes and pizza boxes.
- Aseptics: Drink boxes such as Hi-C and Minute Maid
- Gable Top Cartons: Paper milk or juice cartons with a gabled lid.
- Newspaper: Columbus Dispatch, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, etc.
- Beverage Glass: Clear, green and brown bottles and jars.
- #1, #2, #3, #4, #5 & #6 Plastics: These include plastic milk jugs, 2 liter soda bottles, detergent jugs, etc.
- Aluminum: Beverage Cans, clean aluminum foil, clean pie pans, etc.
- Bi-Metal: Beverage Cans, Tin/Steel Food Cans, Soup cans, tuna cans, etc.
- Telephone books will be collected on a seasonal basis according to delivery of yellow page and white page directories
