Village Services

The following services are provided throughout the year to residents of the village.  Please check this website for specific dates and schedules during each season.

Trash Collection: Thursdays at 7:00 a.m.
The Village of Plain City's waste hauler is Waste Management of Ohio, Inc. They provide for separate curbside collection of refuse, recycling, and yard waste each Thursday for Plain City residents. Below are guidelines for Village residents regarding refuse, recycling, and yard waste pickup.

Refuse, recycling and yard waste will be collected by three separate trucks each Thursday. Residents will be required to have their refuse, recycling and yard waste at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on Thursday for pickup. Waste Management of Ohio will begin collection promptly at 7:00 a.m. each week. Residents can call Waste Management of Ohio with any concerns or inquiries regarding service at 1-800-343-6047.

Recycling
Weekly curbside collection of recyclables separate from refuse and yard waste collection will be provided. All recyclables may be commingled in your recycling bin for collection. Recycling bins are available at the Water Office for new residents. Additional bins may be purchased for $5.00 each at the Water Office.

Curbside Chipper and Brush Pickup
The Village of Plain City helps residents dispose of tree and shrub trimmings.  This service occurs twice a year, usually in May and September, and is subject to the established regulations.

Curbside Leaf Collection
Leaf collection in the Village of Plain City typically starts in late October or early November.  Public Works crews will collect all leaves placed at the curbside during scheduled collection.
