PLAIN CITY CURFEW LAWS
Now that school is out for summer break here is a quick reminder about Plain City’s curfew laws. Curfew is established for the safety and welfare of minors. Minors 15 years of age or younger, have a curfew of 9:00p.m.-5:00a.m. Minors 16-17 years of age have a curfew of 11:00p.m.-5:00a.m. When a Plain City Police Officer comes into contact with a minor after curfew, the officer, in most instances, will attempt to make contact with a parent/guardian to determine if there is an appropriate reason the minor is out past curfew. If a minor is violating the curfew restrictions, plans will be made with the parent/guardian for the safe return of the minor. If you observe what you believe to be minors out violating curfew, you are encouraged to call the Plain City Police Department dispatch line at 614-873-4321. If you have general questions regarding the curfew ordinance, feel free to call the office line at 614-873-2921.
Have a safe and enjoyable summer.
